These Valve Spring Kits feature a dual spring configuration capable of turning @ 12,000 RPM for that added piece of mind (Over-rev/Mis-shift, going deep into a corner).
The Dual-Spring concept,superior by design.
By having an interference fitment of two springs, harmonic resonance is dampened across the RPM range. Also, the secondary spring acts as a safety mechanism: if something should happen to one spring, the other prevents the valve from dropping into the combustion chamber. These springs are capable of handling much higher lift, even the most aggressive of cams like the Schrick 320 degree cams are no problem.
After rigorous testing in race engines over 3 years, this Valve Spring Kit still tests within 2% of their original rate. Hands down these are some of the finest springs available for any BMW.
Kit includes:
-24 High Performance Dual Valve Springs
-24 Titanium Valve Retainers
-Spring Seats (where applicable)
*Note: Due to the nature of titanium retainers, they are ideally suited for Race engines that will see consistent High RPM usage. It is only recommended they be installed in a valve train that will be inspected from time to time. Our Steel alloy retainers are a great alternative choice for a street or track oriented car whose engine will not be internally inspected often.
