BMW has always been a great car but lacks certain components to be truly Ultimate. One being the proverbial oil pressure gauge. To help resolve this dilemma, one has to resort to the aftermarket like VDO, Autometer, AEM, etc. to source such a gauge. You can make your selection based on size, face back light, digital or analog, and electronic or mechanical. Regardless of your selection, you have to tap into the oil artery to monitor the engine oil pressure.

The Active Autowerke ODB, Oil Distribution Block was created just to solve this problem.

- With a 12x1.50mm pitch, it mounts in the original position of the factory oil pressure switch, eliminating the need to drill or tap.
- Retains the factory oil pressure switch to still satisfy the oil warning light in the instrument cluster.
- Has a dedicated port to install an additional electric oil pressure sender or fitting to connect a mechanical oil pressure feed.
- Can be used by turbochargers or superchargers requiring an oil feed source


Design feature of the Active Autowerke ODB
- Has to be small and compact. One could drill and tap a block of aluminum to do the task, but... The ODB is the smallest 2 part ODB on the market currently for BMW application today
- With a 2 part unit, the rotating design allows for a FULL 360 degree rotation. This allows the sender (regardless of size) to rotate as it fits against the oil filter housing without any interference
- Engine bay picture shows a BMW E9x M3 S65 V8 with oil pressure sender installed using a ODB-KIT. Look at the space constraints. A small size and flexible 360 degree rotation comes in very handy.
- CNC machining allows multiple wrench placements to ensure a secure torque
- 12mm x 1.50mm pitch makes the installation factory like for most BMWs
- 1/8-27NPT suitable for most aftermarket senders currently produced

Standard oil coolers utilize “hard lines” which can cause fitment issues for cars with superchargers, Accusumps, or other aftermarket performance parts. This kit replaces the oil cooler hard lines with two engineered -10 AN fittings, mounting bracket, and O-rings. Flexible braided hoses can then be run to the oil cooler which eliminates routing issues from supercharges, intakes, and other components. This Remote Oil Sensor Manifold is designed to facilitate the installation of Oil Pressure or Temp sensor/s.

Originally designed so that the S14 owner can send oil to this manifold, install an aftermarket gauge and still maintain the OEM "emergency oil pressure" dummy light- it had become popular as a quasi-universal item.

Popular on cars that read artificially higher oil temps at the sensor due to the location of the exhaust manifolds or other issues.

If you have Got an S54 You probably have a leaking CPV.

One of the leaks from an S54 is when the Constant Pressure Valve (CPV) requires replacement.

The CPV is located on the right side of the engine (behind the exhaust manifolds). The valve has an o-ring that tends to flatten and harden over time (and heat) and no longer seals adequately.

Replacement of the valve takes about 1.5 hours (about 5 minutes when the factory headers are out).

Fortunately, this little valve is not too expensive, but you can make the replacement even better!

Solutions to a Potential Problem

By getting a replacement valve (BMW Part No: 11 11 1 318 185), replacing the stock o-ring with the Rogue Engineering CPV o-ring will allow it to last longer than stock!

When you take out the original one, the o-ring on the CPV is as hard as a rock, without elasticity. It cannot do the job of sealing up the engine block anymore.

The Rogue Engineering CPV O-Ring is made from Viton® fluoroelastomer with a temperature range of -40° to +400°F. This allows for a longer lifespan of the CPV (and less leaks!).

Currently, the replacement CPV O-Ring fit the following S54 equipped vehicles:

- 2001-06 E46 M3s (US or Euro)
- 2001-02 E36/7 MZ3 Coupe/Roadster
- 2007-08 E85 MZ4 Coupe/Convertible

An excellent upgrade for those who race or have a modified / higher power engines, this is the best OE style oil pump available anywhere.

Lubrication issues are a common killer of BMW engines. The dual-pickup pump is much better than standard single pickup but this pump is a dramatic improvement over both.

This oil pump starts with an OEM housing (either supplied by you, or as a core from us at extra cost) that is expertly modified to provide higher volume and improved reliability over stock.

Effective lubrication is critical to all high performance engines, especially the high specific output S54 & S50. The S54 especially, with its narrow rod bearings is sensitive to oil starvation and bearing failure. Assuring that your engine will not fail due to a poor lubrication is crucial during all operating conditions.

This pump features two important upgrades:

1) Engineered using the Oil Pump Upgrade reinforcement kit (as featured elesewhere in this section) integrated in it's design; giving a stronger gear drive mechanism for much lower likelihood of the common pump failures on the track or hard road use.

2) Fitted with custom gear set with a larger sweep area to the pump mechanism, increasing volume by 22%.

Important Notes about this Service:
A good used or new oil pump is required for this conversion service. Therefore there are 3 options:

1 – We send you a new OEM BMW Oil Pump with the high volume converson and oil pump upgrade kit installed., and charge you extra the cost of this new core pump, in addition to the cost quoted on this page for the actual upgrade service.
2 – You send us your OEM BMW S54 or S50B32 Euro Oil Pump ahead of time and we perform the upgrade on your pump
