Description
*PAGE CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION*

AKG Motorsport manufactures the highest-quality bushings, mounts, shifters and performance parts available for BMW. They are experts in BMW who pioneered aftermarket performance bushings, mounts, shifters and more all the way back to the 2002 and E30. All of their race-proven parts are original designs – not the other guys!

AKG parts are unequaled in their design & manufacturing, and crafted out of the highest-quality materials available – such as 6061 & 7075 T6 aluminum and exclusive U.S. Military Spec polyurethane. In addition, they are the only aftermarket BMW parts manufacturer that molds polyurethane in the USA under strict ISO 9001:2015 certified standards – and that’s a BIG deal. AKG performance parts for BMW are available in the UK through Crest Automotive.

Bushings

AKG Motorsports solid aluminum BMW bushings are the hardest available and have a longer life span than other bushings. Strictly for race purposes and made of solid CNC’d 6061- T6 aluminum.

Chassis Reinforcements

AKG Motorsports race-proven reinforcement kits are the thickest on the market and are engineered to properly reinforce failure-prone mounting points. Unlike others, these reinforcement kits strengthen the area correctly, utilizing extra-thick steel which is designed to precisely cover only the surface area that is vulnerable.
Precision CNC laser cut and bent.

Suspension Components

Supplying a variety of suspension parts from adjustable control arms to sway bar links, AKG Motorsport specialise in these areas using high quality and lightweight CNC’d aluminum with teflon lined components. Their control arm bushings are made from exclusive U.S. Military Spec polyurethane (85A hardness).

Motor and Trans Mounts

AKG Motorsports BMW Aluminum Motor and Trans Mounts work together to eliminate all engine and transmission movement for effective power transfer through the drivetrain. Designed for racing, their bolt-through solid aluminum mounts are engineered to be both strong and lightweight. Eliminate drivetrain movement with an aluminum motor and trans mount set.

Steering

The AKG Motorsport Aluminum Steering Flex Shaft Coupling eliminates the factory rubber steering shaft coupling for precise steering input and completely solid feedback. The factory rubber flex shaft coupling is fine for a street car, but it doesn’t give proper steering feedback for a race car. These kits replace the stock rubber coupling for most precise steering feedback possible. Made of solid CNC’d 6061- T6 aluminum. Engineered for a perfect fit.

Description
Ref: GCSpanner

This is a replacement spanner for Ground Control coilover kits.

This spanner is included only in certain GC coilover kits, so if your GC coilover kit included a spanner, then you do not need to buy this.

The most common misconception why people think they may need a spanner, is that they are tilting the car on its side to adjust the collars, so they are fighting the swaybars. The swaybars are designed to keep the car from tilting by pushing against the suspension, which makes it difficult to turn the adjuster by hand.

A spanner could easily ruin things if used under these conditions.

If this describes your situation, try lifting the front or rear of the car off the ground, and adjust with your hands.

Powerflex uprated suspension bushes, available in 'STREET' for normal road use or 'BLACK' for track/racing use.

Polyurethane has been with us as a specialised plastic for some thirty years. However recent advances have now made it possible to engineer very special properties into this exciting material. Suspension bushes are some of the most highly stressed components fitted to a motor car. They undergo enormous strains and in the most arduous of conditions with no maintenance or lubrication.

The material that OEM bushes are manufactured from, is a rubber compound containing natural products which deteriorate with age. It becomes softer and more pliable, resisting the forces placed on it less and less. Therefore allowing more and more movement of suspension components and offering less and less control over the suspension geometry.

This in turn causes accelerated tyre wear, braking instability and poor handling. This is the single biggest reason you can instantly tell the difference driving a three year old car compared to a showroom new one. However even new cars will benefit from POWERFLEX bushes because of their superior design they offer much more effective control of the suspension components to a much greater extent than normal rubber items.

POWERFLEX for prolonged tyre life. With the technological advances in the material used, it has been possible to overcome the common problem associated with harder bushes, which is increased noise. By correctly engineering the polyurethane compound, bushes can be made 25-30% stiffer than new rubber items but with exactly the same noise absorbing properties.

POWERFLEX bushes make sense.
POWERFLEX for improved performance.
POWERFLEX for increased safety.

The World's Best Selling and Best Performing Rear Shock Mount for z3/4/E36/46 Models !

The BMW factory rear shock top mounts are well documented as a very poor design, even when brand new they perform VERY poorly, far too much movement in them, and they are essentially worn out every 20- 30 k miles.

Say goodbye to vague real chessis feel rear end clunks! With the introduction of the Rogue Engineering Rear Shock Mounts, you have a high quality, rebuildable, easily serviceable rear shock mount.

Fits the following vehicles...
All E30, including M3
All E36, including M3, Z3 and 318ti
All E46, including M3
All Z4, including MZ4

Rogue Engineering Rear Shock Mount Set includes:

Two (2) Rogue Engineering 6061-T6 CNC, Anodized Rear Shock Mounts.
Four (4) Shore A 65 Bushings (2 required per mount).
Two (2) 303 Stainless Steel Bushing Spacers (to be used with standard 10mm rear shocks).
Four (4) 303 Stainless Steel Washers (2 required per mount).
Four (4) Yellow Zinc plated serrated lock nuts.
Two (2) Shock Tower Reinforcement Assemblies (with 10.9 hardware welded).
Two (2) factory gaskets (#3352 1128 734).

Problems with Factory Mounts
The factory BMW rear shock mounts are generally a little soft, to provide the most possible acoustically dampening in the vehicle. However, design precludes them from being stout enough to withstand the rigours of aftermarket suspension, or even badly damaged roads. A decent sized pothole can send a perfectly good factory rear shock mount to pop out, making it entirely useless necessitating replacement. Upgrading to E46 M3 rear mounts (a popular alternative) is not a guarantee that it doesn't happen again and again.

Rogue Engineering Rear Shock Mount Features
By producing a rear shock machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, we are able to attain a more stable and stiffer platform which to mount the top of the rear shock. However, rather than use race-only spherical bearings or even overly stiff urethane bushings, we specify Shore A 60 hardness rubber bushings (approximately 30% stiffer than the factory bushings) to allow for street comfort and compliance. Our findings show that overly stiff urethane bushings do not allow the rear shock to move, making the attachment of the lower part of the shock under strain.

The construction of the aluminum shock mount plate and orientation of the bushings makes it impossible for the bushings to "pop out" in the manner which the factory style mounts fail. Since the bushings are rubber, when they require replacement, rebuilding them takes only a matter of minutes. Only 4 bushings require replacement (for a pair of RSMs) and are available at extra cost.

Other important details include the use of 303 stainless steel components (compression washers and spacers) for long-lasting corrosion resistance. All other hardware is metric, and either Grade 8 or better, treated with a yellow zinc plating, again for corrosion resistance.

Another feature is the reinforcement assembly which secures the rear shock mount to the vehicle. By reinforcing the top of the shock tower in the vehicle, it protect against the rear shock from ripping out the sheet metal. The reinforcement has its hardware welded to it, allowing for the rear shock mount to become a bottom-mount design. This means that if the rear shocks need to be removed, it only requires removing the two nuts and the single bolt at the bottom of the shock. No need to completely disassemble the trunk area to gain access. If being used with a rear strut tower brace, the reinforcement assembly may be mounted from the bottom, so that the rear shock mount can be secured in the traditional manner.

The Rogue Engineering Rear Shock Mounts are designed to be used with standard 10mm rear shocks, but can also be used with 12mm adjustable race shocks with the use of optional washers.

RE part number re.pem

Finally, a real performance engine mount for those looking for the extra edge. Until now, the only performance engine mount to really consider was the BMW Motorsport Group N engine mounts priced at an incredible $800/pair! These uber expensive mounts were just like factory engine mounts except they were produced with a harder rubber, approximately 30% stiff than stock.

The Rogue Engineering Performance Engine mount is a affordable alternative to the BMW Motorsport Group N mounts, at a fraction of the price. Because these are produced with isolated mounting plates, it does offer similar vibration dampening characteristics like stock. Of course, because of the harder nature of these bushings, some additional vibration may be experienced, just like the BMW Motorsport Group N engine mounts.

Just like factory, but better
The factory-like design incorporates the anti-rotational tabs ensuring that the mounts do not rotate. Use of these mounts virtually eliminates all deflection created from the engine. This is especially true for high-powered vehicles such as those with turbos or superchargers.

The internals of the mount feature a unique locking system in the event of a crash, the internal hardware of the mounts prevent complete failure of the mount. Whereas the integrity of the mount will be compromised, its internal construction prevents the mounts upper and lower plates from completely tearing away from each other. Whereas this may seem to be a small feature, this will ultimately decrease the chances of the engine from breaching the firewall, and entering the internal compartment of the vehicle. No other performance mount can make this claim.

Additional Features
While these mounts are produced in limited quantities here in the US, we have also built these engine mounts to be 5mm shorter than stock, to allow for lower engine mounting height (lowering the center of gravity). Matching performance transmission mounts are also available with purchase. The mounts include 5mm spacers, in the event the user would like to maintain the factory engine mounting position.

Fits the following vehicles:
All 1992-1999 E36 M3, 328, 325, 323, 318
All 1999-2006 E46 M3, 330, 328, 325, 323

Rogue Engineering RTAB Reinforcements,
Improve the handling of your E36/E46 in less than an hour! These RTAB reinforcement shims limit rear toe suspension changes of the rear trailing arms. These shims fill the voids that the factory rubber bushings, increasing the effective stiffness of the bushing without additional NVH (noise vibration harshness). These shims do not affect ride quality and are perfect for those who are looking for an improvement in handling.

Factory Bushings Don't Last Forever.
Where as the factory rear trailing arm bushings are a common replacement item, few realize that all E36 models (including M3s) use a "light duty" rear trailing arm bushing. Not until the advent of the 1996-1999 M3 was an improved bushing used, to handle the extra power of the later model E36s.
Even if your car is relatively stock, these bushings are known to dry rot and crack, causing diminished performance. Getting regular alignments are pointless unless these are inspected regularly, and replaced when necessary.

Fits the following vehicles:
- All E36, except for Z3/318ti
- All E46, including M3
- All Z4

Problems with Factory Mounts:
The factory BMW RTABs (Rear Trailing Arm Bushings) are a very soft material to provide the quietest, most comfortable ride possible. Because of this, we have seen factory mounts require replacement in less than 50,000 miles and 3 years. On modified vehicles, expect them to require replacement sooner.

Are your bushings already shot?
A simple test to determine if the stock rear trailing arm bushings require replacement is driving the vehicle in a straight line. While in gear, under full acceleration, does the car pull to one side? Additionally, under full, firm application of the brakes, does the car pull again? If you answered yes to either one, the bushings probably require replacement.

Rogue Engineering Performance RTABs

The bushing material used in Rogue Engineering Performance RTABs are now available in two different compounds, specifically for your needs. Both compounds now incorporate a silicone impregnated, polyurethane compound. The biggest different being the hardness of the material.

1. Blue Compound - This harder compound is designed for TRACK applications, where monoball components are not allowed. Less expensive than full Delrin bushings, these bushings are extremely stiff to provide the absolute maximum performance at the TRACK. Purposefully engineered to approximately Shore D 65 hardness. Please note, because of hardness of this compound, these can transmit more noise, vibration, and harshness.

2. Black Compound -This compound is formulated for STREET applications. Softer than the blue, TRACK compound, these are stiffer than stock factory OEM bushings, and designed to last much longer than stock. Since these are the great compromise between OEM and our TRACK bushing. Engineered to approximately Shore A 93 hardness.

RACE/TRACK
Our RACE/TRACE application uses a race-quality, high-load spherical bearing in a CNC'd machined aluminum housing. This part eliminates ALL deflection in the rear trailing arm.

This hardness is important in this bushing especially in modified vehicles, since they will exert more force on the rear suspension during acceleration.

The inner sleeve that supports the bushings is made from 6061-T6 aluminum, CNC'd to exacting specifications for a perfect fit.

Do NOT confuse these bushings with bushings produced outside of the US, with unknown material hardness. We have installed similar bushings produced by other companies which are simply too soft. In these cases, it would have been better if stock bushings were used since it allows too much movement of the rear trailing arm.

Squeak, Squeak. What was that noise?
Our US manufacturer has has offered us a silicon based formula, to also keep the urethane bushings quiet during use. Approximately 1.3 oz. of silicon is poured into the mold, which means that it is permanently impregnated into each bushing. This process costs more to produce, but we feel that it makes for a better product in the long run.

A common downside of the urethane bushings over stock rubber ones was that they would typically develop noise over time (or even right away). These noises were from a combination of the harder material, inadequate lubrication (or none at all), and the contact with the factory steel mounting hat rubbing against the bushing.

Professional Installation Required
Because the RTAB "console" removal is required, an alignment is recommended. For installation of the part itself, it is very straightforward, but requires some special tools. We recommend grease that has PTFE in it. A favorite in our shop is SUPERLUBE.

Fits the following vehicles:

All E36, including M3. Does NOT fit Z3 and 318ti.
All E46, including M3.

Description
The Turner rear trailing-arm bushing limiter kit creates a stiffer rear suspension without sacrificing ride quality. Stock trailing arm bushings are known for failure, on both the E36 and E46 BMW chassis. This kit is a perfect upgrade from stock, as it reduces bushing deflection, dramatically increases bushing life, improves handling, and all without the harshness of "race-only" bushings, and while maintaining completely silent operation -- no squeaks and no vibration, whatsoever.

By combining these limiters with stock bushings, this is a great low cost and effective suspension performance enhancer. Each pair of blue aluminum "shims" essentially sandwich the stock rubber bushing to control their lateral movement. By limiting the amount of side-to-side play of the stock bushing, drivers will have increased driver feel thanks to the reduction of toe variation caused by the squirm of the stock rubber bushings. This also reduces duress on the bushing, giving your newly installed bushings a dramatically longer lifespan (a welcome benefit for both pure street or tracked cars). Some stock class racing series even allow this kind of modification, because the stock bushing is still being used.

Kit includes:
- 4-Blue anodized aluminum bushing limiters,
- eight 5mm allen bolts
- 1 drilling template.

This RTAB limiter / shim kit fits the following BMWs:

- 1992-1999 E36 3 Series including 318i, 318is, 325i, 325is, 328i, 328is & 323is
- 1995-1999 E36 M3 3.0 & 3.2 (coupe & sedan)
- 1999-2005 E46 3 Series including 323i, 323Ci, 325i, 325Ci, 325xi, 328i, 328Ci, 330i, 330xi & 330Ci
- 2001-2006 E46 M3 coupe & convertible
- 2004-2011 X3 2.5, 3.0
- 2003-2009 Z4 Roadster & Coupe (2.5, 3.0, 3.0si)

TMS rear subframe bearings are designed to limit rear control arm movement relative to the subframe. The stock BMW subframe bushings are made out of rubber, which allows variance in suspension position due to deformation and compression. A race car needs to have all suspension points remain in place for proper setup. By using high grade aircraft aluminum alloy and high performance race bearings, the TMS bushing replacements are both lightweight and strong. The casing is designed so that if maximum motion occurs, the load will be evenly distributed throughout the casing. Our flanges are designed to spread the load on the subframe and limit movement. The bearing we use is an extra wide race bearing to distribute the load over a broader area. Each piece is anodized or nickel plated to withstand corrosion. These bushings are a perfect compliment to the TMS lower camber arms.

What is a transmission mount?

The transmission mounts in a BMW are a common part that is frequently overlooked.

The transmission mount is designed to do the following:

Help stabilize the transmission under vehicle load allowing the shifter to engage into gear properly.
Isolate vibration from the drivetrain to the chassis.

Under engine load, the transmission can wiggle left and right slightly, worse when the car is being driven hard into turns. This unwanted movement may potentially causing the driver to miss shift. When we sought to have our own transmission mounts produced, we wanted them to be compliant for street use, with no compromises in performance.

What we have is a transmission mount made from Neoprene rubber, with a completely different shape than the factory mount. The hourglass shape of the factory mount is not the best for stabilizing the transmission. By changing the shape to the cylindrical shape of the Rogue Engineering mount, it reduces deflection significantly, while maintaining damping.

The Rogue Transmission Mounts are sold as a pair, and come with Grade 8 Zinc plated hardware. Unlike other aftermarket mounts, the mounting plate and studs of our mounts have been Cadmium plated to prevent corrosion.

Note: Priced as a pair.

UPRATED TRANSMISSION MOUNTS BLACK

!!! LIFETIME WARRANTY - INCLUDING RACE USE !!!

New mechanical retention system on all UUC isolated transmission mounts (red or black) and engine mounts. This design uses a bonded end plate plus an inner plate embedded in the urethane. This inner plate prevents separation of the mount assembly even under excessive force.

Black isolated urethane transmission mount bushings. These offer excellent drivetrain motion control and are a vailable with or without transmission mount enforcer cups (combination of bushings and enforcer cups strongly recommended for E36 M3). The transmission mount is an integral part of the drivetrain support which isolates the cabin from powertrain vibration and noise when you drive your car. To understand the technicalities of the transmission mount, there are a few items that should covered.

Vibration Absorber.
First and foremost, the purpose of a transmission mount is to isolate vibration from the interior cabin. Without it, your interior cabin noise will increase to the point where it would be uncomfortable to drive any significant amount of time.

Deflection Fighter
The transmission mount is also used to combat transmission/powertrain movement during driving. Since the transmission is connected to the back of the engine, it is the engine which is doing the twisting when one accelerates or decelerates (engine braking). Since the engine has it's own mounts, the transmission also has it's own. Whereas some movement is expected, too much movement will cause the transmission to become misaligned with the interior of the car. When the transmission is not in the same position, it may lead "mis-shifting" (shifting into the incorrect gear). Generally, a mis-shift causes an engine to over-rev and cause extensive internal damage. Especially in an E36 M3, it generally means a few thousand dollars in repairs (and that's why they call it the "money shift"!).

The Ideal Mount
The ideal transmission mount will both absorb vibration as the factory intended as well as minimize the amount of transmission movement during spirited driving. By firming up the transmission mounts, your gear shifts will become more precise than when you car was new from the factory.

UUC bushings even incorporate the small notch required for certain models including E46 330i/Ci 6-speed.

Hundreds of drivers from daily driven cars to full blown race cars have gained the benefit of the TME with near elimination transmission movement. Speedvision teams such as TC Kline, Turner Motorsport, and ERT to name a few, have all benefited from the TME. Are you next?

UPRATED TRANSMISSION MOUNTS BLUE

!!! LIFETIME WARRANTY - INCLUDING RACE USE !!!

New mechanical retention system on all UUC isolated transmission mounts (blue or black) and engine mounts. This design uses a bonded end plate plus an inner plate embedded in the urethane. This inner plate prevents separation of the mount assembly even under excessive force.

These are fully isolated, having two separate mounting bolt hardware pieces embedded in the material just like the black rubber and OE BMW bushings. The urethane is a higher durometer (stiffer) material than the rubber and offers nearly the same drivetrain motion control as a solid delrin or aluminum mount, but with significant vibration isolation. That last detail makes it a better choice for a track car that is occasionally street-driven, where cabin noise is a concern. While UUC does expect some vibration transmitted into the cabin, initial user reports say that it is minimal and certainly acceptable.

UPRATED TRANSMISSION MOUNTS BOLT THROUGH RACE RED

Red urethane bolt-through transmission mount bushings are the strongest choice. A single bolt through the entire piece eliminates any possibility of bushing material failure even under the most abusive conditions. Offers effectively the same drivetrain motion control as a solid delrin or aluminum mount, but with some vibration isolation to reduce vibratory stress on mechanical components. Cabin vibration significantly lower than delrin/aluminum solid mounts, but still noticeable.
