ROGUE ENGEERING ADJUSTABLE CLUTCH SLAVE CYL ROD

While trying to troubleshoot wearing clutch discs and pressure plate issues, we often wondered why a slave cylinder was not adjustable. Sure, you could shim the slave back with washers, but how much would that really give you in adjustment? Once, we even TIG welded material onto the end of a slave to make it longer. Enough was enough.

Necessity is the mother of invention. From this necessity, we introduce the Rogue Engineering adjustable clutch slave pin.

Most pins on the end of a slave cylinder is approximately 90mm in overall length. We designed our slave pin to be adjustable from 85mm to 95mm with simple hand tools. While it could be used as a temporary solution in a troublesome situation, it is durable enough to be a permanent solution as well. This is a MUST for any DIYer or mechanic trying to diagnose clutch engagement issues!

We do not recommend adjustment beyond 95mm of total length, as it will not have sufficient engagement into the cap of the pin. Using this extended beyond the engineered length may cause failure of the pin, the slave cylinder or both.

Why do I need one?
A customer brought us a track car which had a strange issue. After a full track day, the clutch engagement point would change at the end of the day to the point they could not engage the clutch anymore. What could have saved him the tow truck trip home was just such a product. A $50 part (and some helpful track friends) could have saved him the expensive cost of towing home.

Made entirely from 303 Stainless Steel, it's robust construction will outlast the slave cylinder itself. Installation is easy as the factory pin pulls right out of the end and the replacement pin can be pushed into place.

Fits all BMW manual transmissions that have slave cylinders with pins of 90mm in length.

TWIN DISK CLUTCH & LTW FLYWHEEL KITS
When only the strongest and best will do !
Whether your BMW is used for drag racing, drifting, or just embarrassing exotic supercars on the street, you need a clutch that can handle the abuse.

Developing our class-leading flywheel and clutch technology to even greater heights, the new Twin Disk flywheel/clutch package is designed for BMWs developing the highest levels of power from turbocharging or supercharging, or for extreme use such as drag racing or drifting.

Until now, taming a 600hp+ BMW meant living with a clutch that was the stereotype "on/off switch" with rough engagement characteristics that made daily-driving a compromise. By incorporating larger disks than the average multi-disk clutch, the UUC design maintains original equipment smooth operation yet easily handles power levels approaching 1,000hp (see material option details below).

Larger surface area of a smoother-functioning material is the key to combining the characteristics of high torque capacity with street-friendly operation in this all-new design.

For E36 and E46 models, total rotating mass of the complete flywheel and twin clutch package is 25.5lbs, the same total mass as a typical 11.5lb flywheel coupled with the M3 clutch or UUC's Stage 2/M5 clutch conversion package.

For E39 and Z8 models, total rotating mass of the complete flywheel and twin clutch package is 32lbs, the same total mass as UUC's Stage 2/850CSi V12 clutch conversion package. 20lbs savings over the original flywheel.

Material guideline based on power output:

Twin Organic: 850hp, 640ft-lb applications

Twin Feramic: 1000hp, 820ft-lb applications

CLUTCH KITS

Xtreme clutch offers a number of different clutch kit specifications. These are:

STAGE 1 - ORGANIC
Recommended for: Lightly Modified Street Vehicles
This level of clutch kit is perfect for lightly modified street cars, and works brilliantly for occasional track use too. Available in 4 different configurations, stage 1 organic kits offer a significant increase in performance and torque capacity while maintaining excellent driveability.
The four configurations of stage 1 clutch kits are

RIGID SOLID ORGANIC -1G
STEEL BACKED ORGANIC -1T
EXTRA HEAVY DUTY SPRUNG ORGANIC -1AX

STAGE 2 - CERAMIC
Recommended for: Motorsport Applications
These kits are available with sprung or sprung / cushioned ceramic friction discs and are designed for motorsport applications where higher heat and torque capacity is required. These can also be used in some road applications.
Ceramic kits come as:
Sprung Ceramic - 1B
Cushioned Ceramic -1C

STAGE 2R - RACE CERAMIC
Recommended for: Motorsport Applications
Stage 2R kits feature a sprung ceramic friction disc, but with even greater clamping force pressure plate for higher torque capacity. These kits are recommended for use in motorsport applications only. Stage 2R Ceramic Motorsport upgrades are designed specifically for motorsport applications that require a higher torque capacity than the stage 2 equivalents. Each Stage 2R kit includes an Extra Heavy Duty pressure plate with even higher clamping force and a sprung ceramic friction disc.
These kits are designed specifically for motorsport applications such as circuit, rally, drifting and drag racing.
The only configuration for race ceramic kits is Extra Heavy Duty Sprung Ceramic -1R.

STAGE 3 - CARBON
Recommended for: Motorsport Applications Requiring Very High Heat Capacity
The Xtreme Clutch Stage 3 kits include a carbon friction disc and are recommended for very high power motorsport applications. These kits have been developed to suit applications where the clutch experiences exceptional temperatures and must therefore be able to perform without the risk of welding. The kits are commonly used in exceptionally high horsepower motorsport application and also has the added benefit of reducing rotational inertia on the input shaft. The friction discs do require warming up before getting full bite and are only suitable for motorsport applications.
The only configuration for carbon clutch kits is Carbon Clutch -1P.

MULTI-PLATE
Recommended for: Very High Horsepower Street & Motorsport Applications
Xtreme Clutch offers a wide range of multi-plate performance kits including everything from twin & triple plate organic upgrades for very high-performance road applications to 184mm quad-plate racing kits for 1000+ HP Time Attack cars.

FLYWHEELS
- Most clutch kits for the older "E" series BMW models come complete with single mass lightweight flywheels
- All Twin Disk kits are complete with single mass lightweight flywheels
** When looking up the part number for your particular model, if the 6th digit is a "5" or "6" then a flywheel is included, for example part number KBM245961A is a clutch kit with flywheel included.
