Bushings

AKG Motorsports solid aluminum BMW bushings are the hardest available and have a longer life span than other bushings. Strictly for race purposes and made of solid CNC’d 6061- T6 aluminum.

Chassis Reinforcements

AKG Motorsports race-proven reinforcement kits are the thickest on the market and are engineered to properly reinforce failure-prone mounting points. Motor and Trans Mounts

AKG Motorsports BMW Aluminum Motor and Trans Mounts work together to eliminate all engine and transmission movement for effective power transfer through the drivetrain. Designed for racing, their bolt-through solid aluminum mounts are engineered to be both strong and lightweight. Eliminate drivetrain movement with an aluminum motor and trans mount set.

Steering

The AKG Motorsport Aluminum Steering Flex Shaft Coupling eliminates the factory rubber steering shaft coupling for precise steering input and completely solid feedback. The factory rubber flex shaft coupling is fine for a street car, but it doesn’t give proper steering feedback for a race car. These kits replace the stock rubber coupling for most precise steering feedback possible. Made of solid CNC’d 6061- T6 aluminum. Engineered for a perfect fit.

This is a replacement spanner for Ground Control coilover kits.

This spanner is included only in certain GC coilover kits, so if your GC coilover kit included a spanner, then you do not need to buy this.

The most common misconception why people think they may need a spanner, is that they are tilting the car on its side to adjust the collars, so they are fighting the swaybars. The swaybars are designed to keep the car from tilting by pushing against the suspension, which makes it difficult to turn the adjuster by hand.

A spanner could easily ruin things if used under these conditions.

If this describes your situation, try lifting the front or rear of the car off the ground, and adjust with your hands.

Powerflex uprated suspension bushes, available in 'STREET' for normal road use or 'BLACK' for track/racing use.

Polyurethane has been with us as a specialised plastic for some thirty years. However recent advances have now made it possible to engineer very special properties into this exciting material. Suspension bushes are some of the most highly stressed components fitted to a motor car. They undergo enormous strains and in the most arduous of conditions with no maintenance or lubrication.

The material that OEM bushes are manufactured from, is a rubber compound containing natural products which deteriorate with age. It becomes softer and more pliable, resisting the forces placed on it less and less. Therefore allowing more and more movement of suspension components and offering less and less control over the suspension geometry.

This in turn causes accelerated tyre wear, braking instability and poor handling. This is the single biggest reason you can instantly tell the difference driving a three year old car compared to a showroom new one. However even new cars will benefit from POWERFLEX bushes because of their superior design they offer much more effective control of the suspension components to a much greater extent than normal rubber items.

POWERFLEX for prolonged tyre life. With the technological advances in the material used, it has been possible to overcome the common problem associated with harder bushes, which is increased noise. By correctly engineering the polyurethane compound, bushes can be made 25-30% stiffer than new rubber items but with exactly the same noise absorbing properties.

Constructed with CNC'd 303 stainless steel housing and spacers, these are built to last.
