Brake cooling ducts are a common practice in motorsport. Severe braking conditions create a tremendous amount of heat at the brake pad, rotors, calipers, and wheel bearing hubs. Under normal driving conditions this heat dissipates during the non braking cool down period.

On the track or hard road use the braking is much more severe and the cool down times are much shorter. As the braking temperature increases, brake component service life is decreased dramatically. A standard set of brake pads and rotors can wear out completely during one weekend of track driving. This is due to the material failure of both the pads and rotors at extreme temperatures. Forcing air directly at the core of the brake rotor, which then passes through the rotor vents, will increase the life of the brake components. The cooling ducts direct the air to the center of the bearing hub and brake rotor. The air is then expelled through the ventilation slots in the center of the rotors.

The backing plates in this kit mount behind the brake discs and are connescted via ducting to air ducts mounted at the front of the car, thereby "force feeding" air to the center of the discs to vastly improve heat dissipation and thus help prevent brake fade.

Kit includes:
-High temperature aircraft flex hose, routed to the inner fender wall from duct inlets.
-Left and Right tig welded black anodized aluminum inlet ducts, mounted just inside the spoiler lower center grill.
- CNC machined and tig welded black anodized aluminum flanges mounted at the inner fender wall.
-Stainless steel hardware is used on fastners and clamps.

This system doubles the the air flow to the front rotors and increases the cooling rate by 20%. An essential upgrade to reduce brake fade during heavy braking.

Note: Hose shown in orange for photo purposes only. Actual hose and all fabricated/machined parts are black to become virtually unnoticed once installed.

- These brake ducts replace the original factory fog light assembly in the front bumper.
- They are constructed of impact resistant, paintable "raw" Carbon Fibre.
- For a carbon fibre finish they require prep and laquering
- These must be glued in place (the originals are clipped).

The Hard Motorsport Brake Cooling Duct Race Kit is THE ONLY complete package that you need for mounting the plumbing for brake ducts to your BMW E36 M3. Our kit incorporates a powder coated aluminum tube between the inlet and the flex tube where the contact point of the tire. This prevents you from instantly wearing do not wear a hole in your very expensive to replace flex tube.

Designed for racing, our kit uses a powdercoated metal bracket that mounts to the frame of your BMW M3 which allows removal of your front bumper while leaving the entire kit in place for fast track repairs and tuning. Brake cooling backing plates, available in 332 m and 355mm brake disc diameter options, suitable for Brembo, Stoptech etc BBKs.
Other Backing Plates are very small and only fit insides a factory rotor hat, which is about an inch smaller than the hat size of a 332mm and more on the 355mm, so air just blows out the sides instead of going through the vents of the rotor which it is made to do.

Also there is no heat shield to protect from heating up your oil in your shocks which will thin the oil and
change the dampening forces.
So the Hard Motorsport BBK Brake Duct Kit Bmw E36 M3 is design to fit inside the hat of a 332mm bbk and also has
a heat shield that protects ball joints.
