It is well known that the Primary cats are a major restriction point on the E9X M3. There are a number of solutions on the market including a full X Pipe which removes the primary cats or Primary Cat Delete/Test Pipes.

Primary Cat Delete/Test Pipes are designed for those who do not want to go the full X Pipe route and are happy to modify their existing X Pipe. It is the most cost effective way of releasing power from this car.

Our Primary Cat Delete/Test Pipes are the first in the market to use a slip on and clamp solution. This provides a solid/tight fit without the need for welding. Gains are 20 BHP and 20 lb/ft torque. An ECU Remap is required to remove CEL and provides an additional power gain over and above the test pipes alone. Please see the dyno graph.

The primary catalysts on the E9X M3 are the single most restrictive part of the factory set up. Removing these allows the engine to breathe more efficiently and provides more power and torque throughout the rev range.

Our customers demanded a solution that would fit the stock rear section (or any aftermarket exhaust that fits the stock X pipe) and that did not increase the volume too much.

We therefore developed an X Pipe which would fit the standard rear section and produce a sophisticated noise with high quality secondary catalytic converters and resonators to temper the volume. The car will still pass UK MOT emissions testing with this fitted.

Power gains alone from this section are in the region of 25-30hp and 25lb.ft torque.
