As can be common on standard M52TU/M54 oil pumps, the left-hand-thread nut can vibrate itself loose or, if the nut is tacked in place, the pump shaft itself shears at high RPM causing serious internal damage to the engine. This simple to fit, full billet design combines brand new genuine BMW parts with our own stronger shaft and custom billet front face to create a practically “bulletproof” upgrade to the weaker original pump which doesn’t require periodic checks on torque.
Along with the pump insert itself you will receive two new o-rings (one for the pressure regulation valve, one for the oil pick-up pipe), all required hardware to fit the insert to your original pump body, an oil pump chain tensioner and a full instructional guide to help you through the fitting process.
This insert includes a brand new inner rotor and is as easy to fit as unbolting the original face and replacing with our new unit.
