The benefits of a Solid Lifter Conversion Kit are great!

Also know as a "Cam Follower Kit" this kit is designed to replace the factory cam followers giving you a lighter, more reliable valve train without any problems when running aggressive cams.

First, since our kit is the lightest on the market, it allows for best throttle response, and very little stress on the valve train. This lightness also allows the lifters (followers) to follow the cams more closely with less pressure (less wear); allowing you to rev to higher RPMs with less risk.

Another important benefit of solid lifters is the prevention of hydraulic lifters 'pumping up' in high rev situations and allowing damage to the valve train and possibly pistons.

This is the kit to use when using full racing-spec camshafts.

Our kit consists of:

- (32) Lightweight Solid Lifters
- Lash Caps; (16)3mm,(16)3.5mm

VAC Tech Note: "Lifter" is a slang term for "Cam Follower", they are for all conversational purposes, the same.

Factory BMW timing chains can hold up to just about anything and often last the entire life of a standard vehicle without needing replacement.

However, when building an engine for performance use; the best is always taken into consideration, especially when the cost is very close to OE.

These German-made chains are manufactured to a higher tensile strength than OE for greater timing accuracy and longevity.

A fresh timing chain is recommended on performance rebuilds, and when they are available for a specific engine, these are the same chains we use in our builds.

- Items listed as 'Timimg chain' are for the engine chain only
- Items listed as 'Kits' include Timing Chain(s) for engine AND oil pump.

Description
These Valve Spring Kits feature a dual spring configuration capable of turning @ 12,000 RPM for that added piece of mind (Over-rev/Mis-shift, going deep into a corner).

The Dual-Spring concept,superior by design.
By having an interference fitment of two springs, harmonic resonance is dampened across the RPM range. Also, the secondary spring acts as a safety mechanism: if something should happen to one spring, the other prevents the valve from dropping into the combustion chamber. These springs are capable of handling much higher lift, even the most aggressive of cams like the Schrick 320 degree cams are no problem.

After rigorous testing in race engines over 3 years, this Valve Spring Kit still tests within 2% of their original rate. Hands down these are some of the finest springs available for any BMW.

Kit includes:
-24 High Performance Dual Valve Springs
-24 Titanium Valve Retainers
-Spring Seats (where applicable)

*Note: Due to the nature of titanium retainers, they are ideally suited for Race engines that will see consistent High RPM usage. It is only recommended they be installed in a valve train that will be inspected from time to time. Our Steel alloy retainers are a great alternative choice for a street or track oriented car whose engine will not be internally inspected often.
