STEVE OATES' ZEEMAX E36 328i
This car started life as a regular 1999 E36 328 i in perfect condition , so Steve decided to rip it to shreds and start again ! They say God created man in his own image....well it seems that Session Music Ltd company director and part time door man Steve decided to create a car in his own image ...WIDE AND LOUD !
The car has just recently come out of the spray booth , beautifully finished in BMW Blue Velvet with a very slight pearl flick throw in to Steve's specification.
This will be an ongoing project and part time demo car for Crest Automotive Tuning, keep watching this space for continuing developments on this and all our project cars.

Week of January 26th 2004
During this week, we installed what Steve refers to as a "temporary" install - until he has time to do better. So far this install has taken 4 LONG days of continuous work (and deposited what feels like quarter ton of MDF dust in our workshop!).

These past few days have been spent carrying out the next phase of interior and engine upgrades ( shame we can't do same for Steve's personality ), before the car is submitted to one of the Magazines hopefully as cover car. Our emphasis has been on the supercharger conversion , with results even better than we expected , producing what we believe to be probably the most modified and tasteful 328 around .....
Latest mods include :
USA M3 version Schrick cams
Reworked exhaust
Power pulleys
Remapped ECU
Vortech supercharger system
Water injection
Zex Nos kit with LED back lit purges valves set into front bonnet vent
New steering Wheel and gear knob
New interior leather re trim
As you can see form the dyno graph below the latest engine mods have workrd very well indeed , producing 313 bhp and more importantly....322 lb Ft of torque !! As comparison an e36 M3 evo produces around 270 lb ft torque !!
Could this be the most Torquey and / or powerful 328 in the UK ?
Next and final stage ( until Steve gets another bee in his vented bonnet ..) will be a full respray.
April 11th
Steve has just commisioned us to order uprated engine internals to strengthen the motor in preparation for a boost upgrade .....target is 400bhp ! Keep watching ......
