CAE Ultra Shifter - Optimised for motor sports with the following features:

- Universal kit for vehicles with 5 and 6 speed Getrag and ZF transmissions, standard H-pattern or Dog Leg.
- Short and super-precise shifting travel, exclusively H-pattern.
- The coupling system remains in its original form.
- Racing-style appearance.
- Characterised by its optimal ergonomics with a focus on motor sports: perfect positioning of the shift lever close to the steering wheel. The shift pattern is confined to approx. 65 x 65 mm.
- Activation of the reverse gear lock via cable reel from the shift lever. An accidental changing to the reverse gear is impossible. The reverse gear is unlocked by pulling up the sliding collar on the shift lever.
- Low weight and high stability: the milled and lathed parts consist of 7075 aluminium alloy; the substructures are made out of laser-cut, 3 mm thick AlMg3 aluminium. The parts are combined in the WIG welding process and brushed blank for an optimal finish.
- Problem-free shifting of gears under stress or in curves.
- Integrated centre position spring, ensuring perfect feedback when changing columns while shifting up and down.
- Right/left stops and reverse gear stop adjustable separately.
- Complete kit for adaptation to BMW switch rod with all small parts, fastening material and detailed installation instructions.
- Shifters is intended for vehicles without interior equipment or without a centre console.
- Optionally available in all black anodized (please ask for delivery period). All shifters with anodised aluminium gear lever knob in the following colours: titanium grey (standard), blue, red, black, silver or orange.

Features that set the Rogue Shifter apart from others include:

CNC Construction
CNC machined 303 stainless steel upper, adding approximately 100 grams more to the top of the shifter lever, thus improving shifter feel.
Shifter lever lower portion is also CNC machined from 303 stainless steel.

Pivot Ball and Pivot Bushing
These are made from Ertalyte TX thermoplastic material. This superior material maintains the vibration dampening qualities and built in lubricity of the factory pivot, but adds superior heat and wear resistance. Its coefficient of friction is 420% better than a stainless steel pivot ball. Depsite its hardwearing properties, we have made this pivot ball repleaceable for possible future maintenance.
Rogue shortshifter Levers also use superior bonding materials for the composite pivot ball and bushes (bonded in a similar manner to original BMW fitment) to achieve a shorter, more positive shift throw without sacrificing the vibration dampening that was built in by BMW.

Weighted Selector Rod (WSR)
Simply shortening the shift lever or moving the pivot point will not produce the optimal shift feel. The smooth action that sets Rogue kits apart comes from the unique weighted selector rod. This replaces the factory selector rod with a higher quality version that has significantly greater mass. This counteracts the additional leverage effort normally required with shorter levers so as to pretty much match the factory "lightness of shift", thus doing away with the requirement for a heavier shift knob as often used by inferior shift kits in an attempt to lessen the shift effort.

What makes the UUC Motorwerks short shifter kit so good is the engineering and attention to fine details, many different points that add up to tremendous differences in how the unit works and feels.

We use our own precision-machined pieces, all "massive overkill" designs, race-tested to ensure they easily surpass the rigors of street use.

Upper lever section is height-adjustable for driver comfort and personalized ergonomics. Simply loosen, slide lever to preferred height, and re-tighten.

CNC-machined stainless steel lower section features integral pivot ball and self-adjusting primary pivot bearing. No welds, no plastic.

Special features that make the "Ultimate Short Shifter" unique:

- 100% CNC-machined 303 stainless steel construction.
- UUC's "massive overkill" design philosophy exemplified. The precision machining of these shifters makes them feel like a solid one-piece design that still absorbs vibration via the rubber inner section. They do not come apart or flex like "clip together" shifters.
- Height-adjustable design.

Add the DSSR (Double Shear Selector Rod) linkage system for even more precision. It's a permanent repair for the slop and free play that develops in the wear-prone plastic selector joint of the transmission.

NOTE: EVO3 shifters include cartriadge bearings and delrin carrier bushings standard.
