The ultimate carbon fibre plenum / airbox / intake system ?

This kit includes the replica CSL airbox, fittings and the front ram - air assembly as seen in the images.

We can also supply the front ram air assembly separately if you already have the CSL airbox or a good replica.

Taking the CSL airbox concept a whole step further, this air intake system was primarily designed for race cars, but can be used on street cars just the same, providing the following advantages over the OEM and most other aftermarket intake systems :

- True Ram Air operation, supplying a highly pressurised air supply
- Greater available air volume for instant throttle response
- Colder intake temps, the faster you go the colder the incoming air temps ( "wind chill" effect)
-More free flowing supply of air to the engine

All these factors combine to improve your M3's power, throttle response, under bonnet appearance and engine note. Made from 100% pre preg carbon fibre, at approx 2.5 Kgs this kit also offer a weight reduction over the OEM intake /plenum.

Power gains depend on many factors (such as condition of engine, quality of mapping, other mods to the car etc), but gains of 35 -50 Bhp are typical (E46M3, NOT CSL), particularly at speeds over around 100 mph where the ram - air pressurisation effect is most effective.

Requires re - angling of the radiator for front assembly.

Typically this type of "CSL-style" air box is used without the factory standard Mass Airflow Meter (MAF) and with the car's software being converted to Alpha N system protocols, which we can also offer at extra cost, please enquire.

Description
These throttle bodies have a +1.5mm larger bore than factory versions, offering approx 12% more volumetric flow at 7000 rpm.

Ideal as part of a larger tuning package (either naturally aspirated or force inducted) or as a standalone upgrade. ECU remapping is recommended for best results.

These are exactly same design, specification and quality as sold by other companies at two or three times the price !

Fits all S54 engines, E46 M3, Z4M, late Z3M .

This item will "plug and play " as delivered and provide increased pick up and power in mid - high rev range, but for very best results a remap would be required (but not essential).

NOTE: Cost does NOT include supply of the core throttle bodies themselves, you can send us your own, or we can also quote for suitable 2nd hand items.
