Upgrade part. We use this adjustable cam gear to adjust cam timing and to make sure we have ample piston to valve clearance on race motors. You can also move the power band slightly by changing cam timing (provided that you have the necessary piston to valve clearance to do so). Our sprocket moves the timing either -1.5, +1.5 or +2.5 degrees. These are made in the USA and heat treated for durability.

Replacement/performance/race. Late style Valve Guides for your M10 cylinder head. The late style guides allow you to run dual valve springs (but are still compatible with single springs) and the late style Valve Stem Seals which use a nice Viton seal (see related listing). These are ideal for any M10 rebuild.

Our valve guides are made to exceed all OEM specs, right here in the USA. The Manganese-bronze alloy used features the highest heat transfer rate of any bronze valve guide alloy.

Important Your machinist must specify the proper size needed, do not assume you need the standard size.

Upgrade part. Oversize eccentrics are often required to adjust the valves to spec when using a cam with a smaller base circle (typical on regrind cams) I like them better than lash caps. These eccentrics work on M10, M20 and M30 engines.

Specification: .028" additional adjustment at the cam.

Upgrade part. On factory M10 cylinder heads, the rockers are held in position by a spring - and at high rpm, that spring may allow the rocker to move in relation to the valve stem (sometimes enough to walk off the valve stem which quickly results in a broken rocker arm). With rocker arm locks, you eliminate the spring and positively locate the rocker arm. Locks also make head assembly simpler than with thrust springs. We use these on all our performance engines.

M10 4cyl. engine: order 8 for complete set.
M30 6cyl. engine: order 12 for complete set.

Performance and racing. Our mechanical tensioner replaces the factory hydraulic tensioner to provide a more positive and constant tension on the timing chain (less chance for valves to hit pistons where clearances are tight). We use these on all our race and high performance motors, but it can also be used to replace worn factory units. Note: It is best to check the tension often - mechanical tensioners are not recommended for those who think they can simply install it and ignore it.
